The Story

SUPER SEVEN ELEVEN F7.1/2-711X

The Destroyer series has several distinctive character models that have solidified its name over the past quarter century. The "Seven Eleven" is undoubtedly one of them.

For Aaron Martens, a close friend of Yuki Ito and a pioneer in the U.S. bass fishing scene alongside Ito, as well as Randy Blaukat, a key ally during the MegaBass USA era, the Seven Eleven served as a vital tool that shaped their futures. Its history is intertwined with MegaBass's ongoing challenges and proud achievements.

What makes the Seven Eleven remarkable is its response to the U.S. tournament regulations of the time, which prohibited the use of rods longer than 8 feet. MegaBass cleared this regulation with the world's longest rod at 7'11" and declared their participation. In close-combat scenarios near shore cover, it excelled with light Texas rigs or jigs around 1/2 oz., allowing anglers to conquer tough shallow water. For expansive shallow areas, it transitioned seamlessly to small-to-medium search baits like Griffons, Ultras, and spinnerbaits, contributing as a limit-maker. Furthermore, it extended scores through deep cranking with DEEP-X200 and 300 while targeting shoulders from offshore. This single rod provided a versatile foundation for game strategy, opening new horizons for many professional anglers.

Every specification of the Seven Eleven was meticulously designed by Yuki Ito to help anglers "win." Its legend continues to evolve, now reborn with updated high specs for the modern era.
