(Long Power Versatile Special)
The S70ML+-5 is a long-power versatile model designed to deliver high-level performance with a wide range of lures.
By applying the “h-shaped taper” to a fast-taper tip, the rod concentrates the load for easy and powerful casting. The strong M-power-class butt section prevents body wobble even with heavy lures, producing sharp, straight-flight casts with excellent directional control.
It handles difficult-to-cast lures—such as balsa minnows or shads that tend to spin in mid-air, or flat-sided crankbaits that are easily affected by wind—with impressive speed, power, and long-distance accuracy.
While maintaining the crisp feel of a high-modulus blank, the “h-shaped taper” ensures smooth retrieves, eliminating the stiff reeling sensation and allowing the tip to dance naturally, retrieve with slack, and dodge snags cleanly. During a bite, the tip flexes quickly to give the fish turning room, allowing automatic hooksets through the powerful belly-to-butt section.
For worming, the combination of the high-modulus blank and the “h-shaped taper” enhances sensitivity and control, allowing anglers to feel minute bottom contours sharply.
